The 12th Anniversary of my Ordination [December 28, 2012] came out to be one of the most memorable ever second to the day of Ordination itself. The Lord gave us Air, Earth Water and Fire from Above. The morning was very uneventful. Then in the afternoon I was promised to be brought to the Barber which we later found out too far away from where we were driving. So Bro. Adam Zawadzki, Bro. Fernando Jose and I went to Sam’s Club Store instead for groceries. When we went out it was snowing beautifully.
It was like white flakes falling from the sky all over. I was so surprised because it was so unexpected. The weather bureau failed to guess its coming. There I was giddy as a kid enjoying my first full taste of a WHITE CHRISTMAS. I told Adam and Fernando: “This snow is the Lord’s gift for me. He gave it right at the anniversary of my Ordination.” It was very cold then but I was not shivering at all I was so delighted by the experience. Obviously the Lord prepared my body for the snow. The terrible cold climate we experienced in the days before accustomed my body for this. It’s Christmas and it’s winter: ITS A WHITE CHRISTMAS and I LOVE IT.
Then, while driving back home at Madison the snow subsided along the way and turned into rain but when we reached Madision there is no rain at all since the ground was dry. At 5:20pm Fr. Tom, Fr. Mark and Friar Joseph Thermadom accompanied me to St. Andrew Parish and every thing was wet slowing our journey by car.
The Holy Mass came out beautifully, three boys of Filipino descent served as Altar Servers with a Choir composed of Filipino and American singers. Group of Filipino doctors and nurses came to lend their support as well. And some of them brought so many food and cakes for the occasion. It was so touching.
Then after the Holy Mass I came out of the Church to be at the reception hall for dinner and I was so surprised since EVERYTHING IS WHITE. Snow covered the ground about half an inch as well as the trees and the plants, they glistened like fluorescent lamps on the sparks of lights.
So beautiful, so enchanting evening, SO GRACE-FILLED with the presence not only of Snow but also of the faithful about 70 of them who braved the cold weather to join me in praising God for the gift of Vocation. They formed the choir, the boys served and the ladies prepared the food. THANK YOU SO MUCH LORD. Your love is beyond imagination. WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS, MUCH MORE IT SNOWS. THERE WERE ALSO CAKES. Alleluia
