Those who may have not known him, he is one of the most relentless and ardent defenders of the faith that I got to know. I was fortunate enough to have been able to work with him online thru the splendorofthechurch.blogspot.com. (blogspot pa noon) Back then the blog had a forum or comment section wherein online debates would transpire. Most of the time, apart from Fr Abe Arganiosa, he was the one who was always answering and having discussions with those who regularly visited the blogspot. I would doze off as night fell by while working hand in hand with him answering attack after attack that we got… only to wake up the following morning and seeing that he appeared to have not fallen asleep answering the questions.
Though we never personally met, he would regularly text me to ask how me and my family was, and would call my kids “chinito” and “chinita”.
He would likewise ask me how CFD was doing…
A lot of apologists may have more contributions in apologetics than him, but in contrast to them, he was never there for the accolade, for the distinction, nor for the recognition… he was not there because “sanggang dikit sya ni ganito” nor close kami ni ganito… he was there because he loved God and His church. He preferred being unrecognized… and for that I’m sure God heeded his call “Lord, Lord” when He finally called Him.
Pray for us brothers!
